Brainstorming

When Cramm receives a request, one of our sales engineers will contact you to gain an impression of what is needed from our product range. The sales engineer will be your main contact person throughout the entire development of the user friendly equipment and will keep you regularly updated.

During the brainstorming session, our sales engineer will discuss all the options and fulfil all wishes and demands before forwarding the request to our engineering department. Looking for more information or your possibilties?

Engineering

To enable the fast creation of technical drawings, Cramm has an in-house Engineering & Development department that takes care of the engineering aspects of an operation. Our engineers enable us to offer both simple everyday machines and complex tailor-made solutions that require more advanced constructions.

As Cramm is the market leader in customised yacht equipment, our engineers have a wealth of experience and gain more with every project. They can also rely on a huge database of previously installed yacht equipment as a backup.

Production

Once the technical drawings are finished and the client has agreed the product specifications, Cramm starts producing the yacht equipment in our fully-equipped factory. Our sister companies start constructing the parts based on the technical drawing. Once all the parts are finished, Cramm assembles the parts to see how they work together and whether refinement is needed.

As soon as the equipment is operating correctly, the product is disassembled and finished with mega yacht quality paint. After the paint job, the product is reassembled for a final technical and optical inspection.

Testing

Every piece of yacht equipment is fully tested before it leaves our factory and we appreciate customer’s attendance during the acceptance test so that we can demonstrate how the product is performing. During the factory acceptance test (FAT) we test all functions and safety features to guarantee maximum safety during operation. Once the yacht equipment has been successfully completed we take every necessary precaution to ensure its safe transportation.

Installation

If required, we can arrange our own specialists on site to install the yacht equipment on board the vessel. Before any system, device or product is delivered and installed it first undergoes rigorous testing to ensure that it meets the most stringent quality and design standards.

Commissioning

Cramm equipment is thoroughly tested during production, prior to delivery and under operating conditions to assure ideal performance once fitted. Cramm’s advanced quality control and testing enable short installation and commissioning times.

All yacht equipment can undergo a harbour acceptance test (HAT) at the shipyard’s facilities or a sea acceptance test (SAT) during a sea trial.
